"The International Committee of the Red Cross has launched this week a four year campaign and project into health care provision in situations of armed conflict and violence. Obstructions to those seeking access to health care caused by violence and attacks on health infrastructure and personnel itself, constitutes one of the largest and most underestimated humanitarian challenges in the world today.

The ICRC has produced a study and report which discover the nature of the problem and I have attached both of these to this email for your information. Over the course of the next four years, the ICRC will look to raise awareness of the issues surrounding health care provision in conflict and situations of violence and mobilise communities of concern for broader analysis of the problem.

In the UK the ICRC will look at the particular complexities of the challenge to health care workers caused by violence and conflict"

They have released two PDFs, named A 16 Country Study and Making The Case
