World Humanitarian Day - 19th August

On 19th August 2003 the UN Headquarters at the Canal hotel in Baghdad was bombed.
In London, some aid workers are taking a low profile approach, gathering to have a glass and a chat under the peaceful Plane trees of Green Park.
Friday afternoon will be warm, dry and sunny. Bring your own drinks and some refreshments to share.
Some agencies will be fielding teams in a friendly Kubb tournament, including Cafod and Save the Children.
