Fragile hope in North Yemen

There is new cause for hope in Yemen this week, as a truce in the North of the country has created possibilities for access amongst humanitarian actors. According to a recent IRIN report, humanitarian actors in the region are preparing to carry out needs assessments in previously unreachable areas, as the ceasefire between Houthi rebels and government forces seems to be holding.
However, despite Saada Govenor Taha Hajer's optimism about the ceasefire, analysts warn that the truce remains fragile, and is not built on resolving the 'real causes of the problem.'
