Assessment of IDP situation in Mogadishu - Somalia
Our NGO team visited the Tarabuunka IDP camps populated by thousands of people. In this particular area, more than 13 children under the age of seven died during last week due to hunger and more than 67 older people are at risk. Our assessment shows the needs in the area are great, with emergency humanitarian relief (food, shelter, water, medicines, latrines) a priority.
We call upon all humanitarian agencies to respond to this critical issue.
