“Our
organisation is a network that has brought together 300 professional
engineers so far, with the intent of applying their skills, time and knowledge to help
rebuild the destruction caused in Libya, in terms of building work and
infrastructure. The core of our work is through analysis; using our expertise
skills we assess any damage caused and what is required to repair along with
costs. The workshop has been invaluable during this transitional phase bringing together many civil society
organisations it has reaffirmed the need to work together, for example ‘Engineers
Network’ has the expertise to analyse however not necessarily fundraise, we can
use the skills or resources from another organisation the workshop was
essential in teaching us how to coordinate tasks it was also a network
opportunity as we interacted and worked with other NGOs.”
