"I have travelled far to participate in the workshops,
and I plan to rotate so that I can attend each workshop. I have not had the
previous experience to participate in workshops organised from an international
perspective, so my intention is not only to learn the skills to apply in the
voluntary work I do but also to apply the knowledge at work, as I work in the
management field.
The disaster management workshop taught me the concept of an emergency fund appeal and how essential it is in order to raise funds. In addition to this, the management workshop put forward the planning tools required in order to manage a group of people. There is a huge need for charitable organisations in Libya and I plan to establish my own charity based on the needs. I hope the skills I gain and the networks I establish will help me to do this."
