Charity Commission Counter Terrorism Strategy

This document is the Charity Commission’s strategy for delivering its regulatory response to the threat of terrorist abuse in the charitable sector. It presents an overall approach and sets out aims for the future. The strategy builds on the Commission's existing work and expertise in this area and applies overarching regulatory principles as well as our risk and proportionality framework for compliance work. The risk of terrorist exploitation does not apply equally across the sector and a ‘one size fits all’ approach is not appropriate or proportionate. The Commission's strategy and approach reflects this.
